INTRODUCTION
Entrepreneurship has gained greater significance at global level under
changing economic scenario. Global economy in general and Indian
economy in particular is poised for accelerated growth driven by
entrepreneurship.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEFINITION
The term entrepreneur is derived from the French word
ENTERPRENDRE. Its meaning is to undertake. The simple meaning
of an entrepreneur is a person who is responsible for setting up a
business or an enterprise.

OBJECTIVES
To study the socio-economic background of the
rural women entrepreneurs.
To analyze the problems which are faced by the
rural women entrepreneurs.
To know the factors that influence women to
become entrepreneurs.
To know the Government Schemes which are
given to the women entrepreneurs.

FINDINGS
Entrepreneurship improves the quality of life.
It promotes project for the welfare of people and
creates wealth for the society.
Objective
is to study the socio-economic
background of the rural women entrepreneurs.
The skills of rural women entrepreneurs are not
recognized by the society.
Government is providing many schemes but still
rural women entrepreneurs unaware.

SUGGESTIONS

Husbands and men folk should be made to realize


the significance of women entrepreneurship.

Government should identify the potentialities of


rural women.

Schemes should be properly explained to the


rural women entrepreneurs as they are unaware
of the schemes.

CONCLUSION
India is a male dominated society and women are
assumed to be economically as well as socially
dependent on male members. Rural women
entrepreneurs faced lots of problems like lack of
education, social barriers, lack of self confidence etc.,
even though women's are coming forward and
occupying the high position in the global market.
