School of Business management is the Educational
facility that specializes in the teaching of material
relevant to businesses or business services.
The School of Business Management (SBM) will be situated on the proposed site
of Sarangpur,3-4 kms. from Chandigarh.
The design facility will include the setting up of a campus for 720 students with
residential facility.
The site is situated in Sarangpur institutional area, Chandigarh. the site is
proposed as Narsee Munjee institute of management studies by SVKM(Shri Vile
Parle Kelavani Mandal) as approved by Chandigarh.

PROPOSED SITE
Ground coverage shall not
exceed 40%.
Permissible F.A.R- 1.5.
Minimum setback of 20mts
from NE, 15mts from SW and
10mts each from boundary
wall on other two sides.
Other use shall not exceed
15% of permissible F.A.R.

OBJECTIVES:
Designing a functionally efficient built up environment for the business education.
To create an institute complex bound by clear hierarchic sequence of spaces.
To provide spaces for casual interaction that will give it a comprehensible form.
To formulate a design strategy keeping in mind the functional requirements, site
nature, local climate, existing features, and to express the ideas which institute stands
for.
SCOPE:
The scope of the project will be to demarcate the zones for various functions.
It will also include the designing of academic block (including lecture hall, seminar
rooms and labs), administration block, cafeteria, library and auditorium.
