Names and Title of God

The names Father, Son, and Holy Spirit emphasize the

function of the Godhead as it is revealed to us in space and time.
Matthew 28:19-20, Rom 5, 15, 1 Cor 12, Eph 1. the titles are all used.
We are indwelt Jn 14:23, 1 Cor 6:19, Col 1:27, Eph 4:6
At the baptism the Son obeys the father speaks blessing and the Spirit
anoints.
The Father sends the Son, John 3, and the Son sends the Spirit, John
14-17.
The Holy Spirit is called God in Acts 5, 1 Cor 3, and Lord in 2 Cor
3:17.
Each person of the Godhead is described as being involved in the
incarnation; Matt 18:28, Jn 3:34, Lk 1:35, 2:11, Jn 8, 10, 17.
The Father gives the Son, Rom 8:32, the Son offers himself, Jn 10:18,
the Holy Spirit empowers Him, Heb 9.
All three are referred to in the resurrection; Col 2:12, Jn 2:19, 10:18, 1
Peter 3:18, Rom 8:11

The Angel is distinguished from JHWH, Gen 24:7, Ex 23:20, 1
Chron 21:15-18, Zech 1:12-13. The Angel is 1 of the trinity.
God the father cannot be seen face to face, Ex 33:19-23, Jn
14:17.
Jesus tells us that it was He. Jn 8:58, 1:18, 6:46, 1 Tim 6:1516.
He does not appear again after the First Advent, 1 Jn 4:12
He appears in the OT to Jacob, Gen 32:24-30, 48:16, Moses,
Ex 3:2, 14:19, 23:20-23, Joshua, Josh 5:13-15, Gideon, Judg
6:11ff, Elijah, 1 Kings 19:5-7. He appears in Babylon to deliver
his three servants, Daniel 3:25.

Trinity in the Old Testament
