 This is a programming course

You are expected to KNOW how to program in Java

however it is NOT the only component.

Memorising the work/examples shown in tutorials and
lectures WILL NOT let you complete programming
questions you need to understand and not just
memorize because things in class will never be asked
the same way in the finals.
Theory questions will be minimal during labs but that
does not mean it is not important.

 Two (2) quizzes to contribute 10% of your coursework

marks
Will be conducted pop-quiz style - at random and
unannounced
May be held in lecture OR lab session
Each group will have independent quizzes - at
different times with different questions of similar
difficulty
MCQ only 10-15 minutes long
NO REPLACEMENT OF QUIZZES.

THERE IS NO SUPPLEMENTARY MIDTERM

THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS
IF YOU MISS THE MIDTERM, YOU ARE
RECOMMENDED TO WITHDRAW THE SUBJECT

 Structure type questions only

Expect 4 questions covering all LOs

Answer all questions with each question comprising 10

marks for total 40 marks.

The student's attendance shall be counted from week 1 in

every trimester REGARDLESS of when they register.
Students who failed to achieve 80% of the attendance will
be barred from sitting the final examination.
Coursework marks below 50% will bar students from
supplementary exam should the student fail the final.
