La

oracin es la palabra o conjunto de palabras que

expresa un pensamiento completo, que forman un
cierto significado. Una oracin se compone de dos
partes: sujeto y predicado.

Personal pronouns refer to Specific persons

or things.

Los pronombres personales se refieren a personas o cosas

especficas.

- Carlos is an engineer. He is an engineer.

The word "he" is a personal pronoun that refers
to Carlos.

 VERBO TO BE
El verbo 'To be' tiene una importancia especial en ingls.
Corresponde a los verbos en castellano "ser" y "estar".
Dependiendo del sentido de la oracin deduciremos de
cual de los dos se trata.

I am Teacher / Soy una profesora.

I am in my classroom /
Estoy en mi salon.

 USOS ESPECIALES - VERBO TO BE

Tiene algunos usos especiales diferentes a sus
equivalentes espaoles.
1. Sirve para expresar la edad, en cuyo caso se
traduce como 'tener':
- Mary is 20 years old.
- Maria tiene 20 aos.
- How old are you?

- I am 21 years old. /

Cuntos aos tienes?

Yo tengo 21 aos

 USOS ESPECIALES - VERBO TO BE

2. Para expresar las sensaciones tambin se
emplea el verbo 'to be' y se traduce como 'tener.
- He is thirsty /

- Are

you

El tiene sed.

hungry?

Tienes

hambre?

3. Tambin para hablar sobre el tiempo
atmosfrico. En este caso se traduce
como 'hacer

- It is windy / Hace viento.
