A domain name is the part of a network address which identifies it as belonging to a particular domain, whereas a IP
address is a unique string of numbers separated by full stops that identifies each computer using the Internet Protocol to
communicate over a network.
The domain name functions as a link to the IP address where as the IP address is an actuall set of numeric instructions.
The domain name has three pieces of information in it, the IP address is basically just one piece of information.
The IP address is like the individual, but the domain name is more like the family.
Your computer has a individual IP address, no other computer in the world will have the same IP address. But anyone can
use a domain name from any computer.
You can mask the appearance of your IP address for security, bt you cannot
change a domain name.
