SAFETY DOCUMENTATION, ACCIDENT
ANALYSIS AND LICENSING SUPPORT
AMEC has pulled together a strong
project team from its staff in Canada,
the UK and Romania to deliver the
first Periodic Safety Review for the
Cernavoda Unit 1 CANDU-6 NPP.

AMEC is providing complete Project
Management, training for plant staff,
and full technical delivery of all PSR
Safety Review reports, to IAEA
standards.
The PSR will provide a 10 year review of safety, operating history, and a confirmation
to the operator, Nuclearelectrica and the regulator (CNCAN), of the ongoing plant
safety against modern standards and requirements.
An added benefit is the extension of the operational re-licensing process from 2 years
to a 10 year cycle.
