PAST TENSES

that began and ended in the past

Past Continuous Tense
Expressing an activity that was in progress (was

the past or at the the time of another action

Past Perfect Tense
We use the past perfect to say that something
had already happened before this time
When I arrived at the party, Tom had already
gone home
Albert had borrowed my book yesterday
We had been there yesterday morning
