OH&S policy includes commitment to continual improvement. OH&S policy should be committed to at least comply with current applicable OH&S legislation and with other requirements to which the organization subscribes. OH&S policy provides framework for setting and reviewing OH&S objectives. It should be documented, implemented and monitored. It should be communicated to all employees with the intent that employees are made aware of their individual OH&S obligations. RAMZAN RAFEEK Examples: Policy expectation - To minimize accidents in the company Objective : To reduce the lost time accidents by 50% within this year Target : To reduce the accidents in site A (which is a high rise building site) by 40% Policy expectation - To comply with OH&S laws Objective : To comply with sections relating to main national OH&S law, which is Factories Ordinance, and to comply with expected changes of OSH law within next year. Target 1: To make alterations to machinery at site A to comply with the requirements of the Factories Ordinance and its expected changes. Target 2: New machinery will be purchased only if those conformed to the requirements of the Factories Ordinance.
