The Integrated Management System (IMS) integrates the management systems for quality,
environment and safety, for example, including all synergy effects, to create a new overall
management system, in which the processes, interfaces, structures and documentation systems of
the individual systems are combined into a standard system.

The Integrated Management System is the basis of all management
and control systems used in the DB AG Group

Purpose and aim of IMS: creation of legal safeguards, continuous
improvement of cost effectiveness, simplification by reducing complexity
To achieve the goals of IMS, all synergies must be captured, duplicated work and activities
avoided, and a Group-wide IMS peformance plan implemented.
The Integrated Management System is designed to

support managers in the performance of their individual corporate responsibilities
reduce costs and effort in the long-term through continuous process optimisation and by combining
duties and competences
support employees in the integrated implementation of processes
guarantee the supply of employment-related information and requirements
secure a positive corporate ranking (management quality)
estimate ecological and economic opportunities and risks
and thus ensure sustainability.

The IMS Steering Committee has Group-wide IMS
decision-making competence

The IMS Board is the common platform for the
design of the IMS for the Group management and
the IMS functions of the BU. The Group functions
(6 IMF elements), the IMS line organisations of the
BU and the specialist committees. The
spokesperson for the IMS Board ist the head of
VQ. The heads of VR L, I and P appoint the
representatives of their division to the IMS Board.

The Group committees for IMS elements provide
the approach specified for the IMS elements within
the Group.
