Consequences of demanding

a king (1 Samuel 8:10-22)


1.The king can demand for their sons as soldiers.
2.The king can demand for their daughters to attend to
the palace.
3.The king can demand for the best of their fields &
vineyards for his men.
4.The king can demand 10% of grain and wine for his
officials and attendants
5.The king can demand for servants and best of their
cattle for his own use.
6.The king can demand the people to be his slaves.

of witchcraft

-arrogant ,proud

not a good basis
in choosing a

-numbered his
people. He once
trusted in the
number and
strength of his
army.
GODS PURPOSE

-Although he was
the man after
Gods own hearth
,he was still
human. He can
fail miserably
when
overwhelmed
with power and
favor.

with foreign
nations

-married 300
wives and had 700
concubines

-worshipped other
gods
-his kingdom was
divided

-if you become
wise in your own
eyes, you will
commit the
foolish things,
destroy your
legacy and bring
judgment to
yourself and your
future successors.

-to reign in our
hearts and rule
with Him for a
thousand years.
This proves that
He is the Only
King who can
rule without
failure and reign
with us for
eternity.
The Lord does not look at the
things man looks at. Man looks at
the outward appearance, but Lord
looks at the heart-1 Samuel 16:7
