Thematic Exhibition
Idea of The Exhibition

The selection covers the basic
typological characteristic of
composition creations,
ornamentations and colours at the
Region, having geographical and
chronological dimension too

Few following photos could show a
way of setting exhibits up in the hall
Additional aspects of the exhibition are:

1. A depiction of the process of the
preparation of the warp for carpet
weaving and the placing of the warp
on the loom
2. an analytical exhibition of the
variations within the tapestry
weaving technique as the basic
carpet weaving one
Shuttled rep weave
Tapestry weaving with cascading slits
Cascading change of colours with
varying number of warp threads
Tapestry weave by tying at the beginning / end of the slit
Tapestry weaving with minimal slits by tying several threads
Stitching by alternation ot two colours in the same line
Stitching by dividing the line of alternation of the colours
So called coptic - by compacting of warp threads
