Activity 1: Life Highlights

Imagine that you could choose to re-live 30

seconds of your life (and you only have 30
seconds of life left).

What would you choose? Why?

What does your choice say about you as a

person? About your interests? Beliefs?
Values? Philosophy?
Activity 2: Classification

Get into groups of four.

You have five minutes to divide your groups

evenly into these categories:

1. late-night / early-morning people

2. the weather that you like
3. your hobbies
4. your fears
5. what you would change in the world
Activity 3: Animal Personalities

Lion – Dog – Parrot – Elephant

Rank these animals 1, 2, 3, 4 in order of your

preference. Write down the order.

There are no right or wrong answers.

Meaning of your rankings

1 – How you want others (significant people

in your life) to perceive you today.

2 – How you believe you are actually

perceived today by others.

3 – How you want to be perceived by others

in the future.

4 – How you truly want to be.

Meaning of the animals
Dog: friendly, faithful, loyal, supportive, protective,
dependable, reliable, trustful, trusting, solid, keen,
hard- working, loving

Lion: dominant, fearsome, independent, decisive,

proactive, isolated, aloof, leading, critical, objective,

Activity 4: New World Exercise
Imagine that the world suffered a catastrophic event – a
meteor strike, a plague or a nuclear war. Only a few
hundred people survived (a mixed group of male and
female, young and old, different races and cultures,
etc).

1. Your task is to come up with a new leadership

structure – tell me eight of the most important
leadership roles in the new world. Which of you would
take which role?

2. Write the basic laws for your group of survivors.

3. What are your five immediate aims or goals?

New World Exercise

4. Think of 3-5 difficulties in leading your

group. How would you try to handle the
challenges?

5. What lessons from the modern world

would you find valuable in rebuilding the
new world?

6. What are your five long-term aims or

goals?
Activity 5: Euler Puzzles
Euler puzzles are geometric
puzzles which challenge you
to trace along all of the lines,
without lifting the pen from the
paper and tracing each line
only once.

Can you try this one?

Try to draw it first with a pencil

and then with a marker. Don't
trace any line more than once!

(Note: Some of them are

impossible. Tell me which
ones.)
Euler Puzzle #2

The first one was easy,

right? What about this
one? Still easy?

(Or is it impossible?)
Euler Puzzle #3

Looks easy, but it's not

so easy.

Can it be done? Or is it
impossible?
Euler Puzzle #4

Now this one is easy...

Euler Puzzle #5

Easy!
Euler Puzzle #6

Easy.
Euler Puzzle #7

Looks very difficult.

Can it be done?
Euler Puzzle #8

Don't even try this

one...
Euler Puzzle #9

It's got something to do

with where you start...
Euler Puzzle #10

Same applies here –

where you start
makes all the
difference. Assuming
it can be done...
Euler Puzzle #11

Like I said, assuming it

can be done...
Euler Puzzle #12

It would be a pity to
end with one that's
impossible...
