What is the StyleMe Mirror?

The StyleMe Mirror is a 6 3 mirror that allows
users to try on various outfits
The mirror lets users select an outfit choice, then
superimposes the outfit over the users image in
the mirror
No changing of clothes is required, as long as you
dont mind seeing your jeans beneath that skirt

o Used in fashion design
o Used in John Lewis retail
stores in the UK
o In the first six weeks of
sales, over 34,000 outfits
were viewed by
customers of JL






Some Facts About StyleMe


How It Works
o The users dimensions are captured via sophisticated 3d
cameras
o Gesture - recognition technology and virtual reality
software is used to superimpose the clothes over the
users image
o Artificial Intelligence is used to show the user different
styles and help with purchases.



Implications of the StyleMe in Retail
All of the clothing is in the same place, (the virtual catalogue) which
means that sales clerks wont have to waste time finding clothes for
customers
Eventually, the StyleMe may be available for at home use, eliminating
the need for sales clerks or fitting rooms
Convenience
Customers can quickly find their correct size of clothing, eliminating time
wasted searching through stores to find the right clothing
Retail clerks wont have to spend time putting away out of place
clothing
Timeliness
Retailers may eventually be able to stop stocking products on shelves
entirely, keeping products stored in the back and lessening display costs

fashion design, which include saving the user time and
