Introduction
SMart Placement Portal (SPP) is a web based application
for Students and Staff members, where students can perform
all the placement related activities and staff can direct the
portal making authenticated students perform various
functions.

SMart Placement Portal is an initiative to take all the
placement related activities in the university on the IT
backbone. This system is adopted by the universities to
manage the placement data efficiently and to overcome the
manual system.

Registration
Student Registration:
Students with a valid registration number can register themselves
on the portal by providing their academic, personal and other
details.

Staff Registration:
Staffs also have to register themselves on portal before using it.
Staffs have to provide just some basic details.

After Registering themselves on the portal the users(Students and
staffs) have to wait for the admin to approve their registration so
that they could use the portal by login into it.

Categorization
At the time of registration each student is assigned a
category using the following rules:

A: Throughout 60% without backlog or reappears.
B: Current 60% but past between 50% and 60% with no
reappear and backlog.
C: All other without reappear or backlog.
D1: Thought 60% with up to 2 reappears/backlogs.
D2: All others

Drive Registration:
Using this option students can register and deregister
themselves for the drives made available to them. Also there
is link for each drive that provides the details about that
drive.

Hall Of Fame:
Students can view achievements of other students using this
option

View query
Through this Query Management System students can post
as well as check response of their queries. It is an interface
similar to RMS but is specifically for placement related
activities.

Policy:
This section contains various policies and guidelines related
to placement.

Change Password:
Using this option students can change their passwords by
providing their old password and new password.

Company:

Faculty can upload the students achievements using this
interface.

Change Password:
Faculties can change their passwords through this option.

Students:
Edit Student Profile

Admin can edit the students profile, also view all registered
students details and also can see the students category wise .

Admin approves students and staff members who
registered themselves on this portal. Only after admin
approves them they can log into their accounts.

News and Upcoming Drives:
Admin can also create the contents for news and
upcoming drives to be displayed at the index page.

Contact Query:
All the queries from the users who are not registered on the
portal are handled from this interface.
Admin can replay to the queries and the reply goes to the
users email ID which he/she had provided at the time of
posting the query.
