DMI conducts suitable programmes for field workers
as well as administrators shouldering agricultural
marketing responsibilities at different levels.

To create an ambiance of good agricultural
marketing practices in the country to protect
the interests of all market users as well as
consumers.

To sensitize the agricultural marketing
personnel to respond to the changing
demand trends, challenges in the post WTO
era and globalised marketing environment.

Diploma Course in Agricultural Marketing:






A comprehensive training course of six
months duration for senior and middle
level officers, organized at Branch Head
office, Nagpur.


Market Secretaries Training Course:










Three months duration. Organized at Lucknow
through Hindi medium and at Hyderabad English
medium for supervisory cadre such as APMCs
Secretaries and Asstt. Secretaries or officers of the
Marketing Boards/Departments.


Grading Supervisors Training Course:






For the Grading Supervisors of Market Committees
15 working days duration, organized at BHO Nagpur.

Graders Training Course:









For the Graders of market committees, 30 days
duration, organized through regional language, at
Chandigarh, Salem, Hubli and Pune.
Market Intelligence and News Service





Two weeks duration. Organized at Nagpur It
emphasizes on the application of the system concept,
leads to scientific management of agri-marketing through
data collection, presentation ,analysis, interpretation and
developing information to help in decision making and its
timely dissemination.

Market Extension Service Course





Two weeks duration. Organized at Nagpur to
develop specialized man power to further the
knowledge to its stakeholders and also
integrate the farming community with
marketing mechanism.
State level Short Term Capsule Training Programme






Specific need based programmes organized either at
Nagpur or at respective State Head Quarters on the
request received from the marketing Boards/Deptt.
Course module is developed accordingly. Duration of
such programmes is 4 to 6 days.

Under the MRIN scheme one of the objective is to
undertake research that will be utilized to impart
training to farmers and marketing functionaries and
other stake holders in order to educate and train them
on Good Agricultural Marketing Practices .

preparation of Post Harvest Profile on
Agricultural Commodities and Manuals on
Good Agricultural Marketing Practices to
make a tool to educate farmers and other
marketing functionaries.

Prepares manuals on good agricultural
marketing practices of various commodities.

Post harvest profiles covers post harvest
management, marketing, storage, SPS
requirements, marketing problems, marketing
information etc.,
B.H.O., so far has prepared the Post Harvest Profiles
and Manuals on Good Agricultural Marketing
Practices on following commodities:
