BARANGAY COMPENSATION & BENEFITS RA 7160 Local Government Code of the Philippines Section 393. Benefits of Barangay Officials. -
(a) Barangay officials, including barangay tanods and members of the lupong tagapamayapa, shall receive honoraria, allowances, and such other emoluments as may be authorized by law or barangay, municipal or city ordinance in accordance with the provisions of this Code, but in no case shall it be less than One thousand pesos (P1,000.00) per month for the punong barangay and Six hundred pesos (P600.00) per month for the sangguniang barangay members, barangay treasurer, and barangay secretary: Provided, however, That the annual appropriations for personal services shall be subject to the budgetary limitations prescribed under Title Five, Book II of this Code; BARANGAY COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Limitations prescribed under Title Five, Book II of this Code: Section 331. Preparation of the Barangay Budget. - (b) The total annual appropriations for personal services of a barangay for one (1) fiscal year shall not exceed fifty- five percent (55%) of the total annual income actually realized from local sources during the next preceding fiscal year.

However, enforcement of this limitation shall be waived insofar as the minimum rate of honoraria of 1,000.00 for the Punong Barangay and 600.00 for the other mandatory officials are concerned and in the increase or adjustment of such minimum rates. BARANGAY COMPENSATION & BENEFITS The honorarium/salary rates shall be in accordance with the salary schedule being implemented by the city or municipality where the barangay is located.
SG 15 = SG 10 = 24,887 17,255 BARANGAY COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Barangay tanods and members of the Lupong Tagapamayapa may be granted honorarium, allowances or other emoluments provided the total amount shall not exceed the minimum salary rate for SG-l. SG 1 = 9,000.00
BARANGAY COMPENSATION & BENEFITS (b) The punong barangay, the sangguniang barangay members, the barangay treasurer, and the barangay secretary shall also: (1) Be entitled to Christmas bonus of at least One thousand pesos (P1,000.00) each, the funds for which shall be taken from the general fund of the barangay or from such other funds appropriated by the national government for the purpose;
