Executive Summary

ILIOILO CITY PHILIPPINES- sixtyseven residents of Barangay Jalandon Wilson Iloilo City Proper were rush to the Iloilo City Hospital at the Western Visayas Medical Center compound after manifesting various symptoms of food poisoning such as stomach ache, dizziness, and vomiting on Sunday, December 9, according to various sources.

Most of the victims were kids who ate spaghetti and pancit bihon at childrens party in the neighborhood. According to Iloilo City Provincial Health Office, Poor food preparation might have spoiled the foods, particularly covering the container immediately after the dish has been cooked.

Mayor Jed Mabilong has already asked heath officials to send over some medicines, gathered reports said. Mean while, Dr. Urminico Baronda assured that the city Health Office has got suffient supply of medication for food poisoning.

Introduction

Eating is one of the favorite habits of Filipinos today. Spaghetti and pancit bihon that is selling everywhere, native delicacies that is commonly found everywhere in the market, and other kinds of foods that may possibly not safe to eat. Without knowing, people are eating various kinds of bacteria or different kinds of microorganism beyond tolerance of eating not safe food. Therefore, food poisoning is not a rare case nowadays; hence it is occur every day, everywhere, in different instances, in different cases without choosing everyone. Food poisoning is when someone gets sick from eating food or drinks that gone bad or is contaminated. It is also an uncomfortable experience characterized by nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.

STUDY
This study happened on December 9, 2012 (Sunday) in Brgy. Jalandon Wilson, Iloilo City Proper. It is all about the 67 residents suffer from food poisoning that causes nausea, vomiting and diarrhea that all the victims are hospitalized.

Review of Related Literature

Aside from this case it relates to the other cases like dirty ice cream, downs 70 in Bataan, because it is also about food poisoning that all the victims suffer dizziness and LBM (loose bowel movement) and they are all hospitalized. And the other case is all about food poisoning downs over 100 fun run participants in Cotabato were hospitalized after they ate pastel a rice toppings with boiled egg and shredded chicken adobo. And the another case is all about Ateneo Davao poisoning caused by unhygienic food handling.

ANALYSIS
Base on the case, the main cause of the food poisoning was the cooked spaghetti and pancit bihon. So what is the fuss? The spaghetti and pancit bihon prepared were spoiled because of covering the container immediately after the dish has been cooked. So therefore, the dishes cooked were spoiled because of temperature inside the container during storage, the heat causes water vapor on the topper that causes moisture on that particular dishes. Conclusion
I therefore conclude that this case study has a wrong storing of foods that they must not cover the food when it is in the container and its still hot to prevent the food poisoning.

Recommendation
Dont cover the food when it is newly a raised to prevent food poisoning Be conscious to the foods that we are eating. Clean all equipment properly.
