A phenomenon that strikes students in their final year of high school or college.
Symptoms include; laziness, lack of study, absences, bad attitude, procrastination,wearing sweatpants, not caring, etc. Associated disorders may include; anxiety disorders, conduct disorder, depression, personality disorders

If you draw something like this on your test or feel like writing something like this you may be having symptoms of senioritis.
Prevalence
There isn't so much research on senioritis but it has been found that 60% to 75% experience senioritis during their final year of high school.

Subtypes
Senioritis ditchitis- students have many absences among school for a reason or no reason at all. Social senioritis- Not trying hard to maintain relationships, or pushing people away because of your attitude but it can also be the opposite like talking a lot in class or going to parties Party senioritis- going to parties all the time and using drugs or just using no drugs.
Senioritis usually appears during the final year of high school & college. It usually goes away after the situation that caused senioritis is gone. Senioritis only disappears after graduation.
Diagnostic Criteria
In order for a person to have the disease they should be around 16 years or older People with senioritis also have extreme apathy
These are some similar disorders to senioritis but they shouldn't be confused with it:

Dismiss authority and disregard their responsibilities
Therapy
This person needs behavioral and cognitive therapy. The premack principle can be used to instill good behavior by linking it to less preferred behavior. Change the way the person thinks. Make them see that school is important and they need to do well so they can succeed in life.
