 Look for clues in the sentence like ‘now’, ‘is’,
‘are’, ‘today’, and anytime of the day (one
whole day).
 Regularly used in conversational sentence
( to show ongoing actions)
 Clues → Time expressions (currently,
presently, at the same time, now,
simultaneously, at present)
 Ongoing actions.
E.g. The students are making tons of noise
at the moment.
 Can also be used for two or more actions
happening simultaneously in present time.
E.g. The lecturer is invigilating the test
while the students are concentrating to
answer the papers.
 Singular E.g.
