is wrongdoing on the part of an authority or powerful party through means that are illegitimate, immoral, or incompatible with ethical standards. Corruption often from patronage and is associated with bribery.

INDIA

India is a land of diversity and varied heritage, need not say, a complete world resides in this country itself. From North to South and from East to West, spanning across all spheres of the nation, there are two words that unite everyone here viz: India and Corruption. Absolutely right, every Indian at one point or the other would have witnessed the scene of corruption. Undoubtedly and shamelessly, corruption has become such an epidemic in our country that anyone who makes an attempt to eradicate this is more likely to succumb to awe and grief

CORRUPTION IN INDIA
Corruption has become a major public concern in the wake of successive scams unfolding over the past few years. In a country like India, where millions of people still suffer from acute poverty, hunger and lack of socio-economic opportunities, the pillage of public resources through corruption amounts to a crime of a very serious nature. Besides impeding economic development, accumulation of ill gotten wealth through corruption is widening the inequalities and ruining the moral fabric of our society

Corruption has Indeed becomes one of the biggest problem of India .As the time is going on the rate of corruption increases and badly effect the Indian economy. Indian Governments policy and strategies are of no use to stop this enormous growth of corruption. The main reason for the increase in the corruption is the loose government system . The Non existence of the fear in the minds of the people leads to the corruption.

The image on the previous slide shows the percentage of poor people in different countries in the world and as we can see that India has the most number of poor people . The main reason is the Increase in the corruption in India in last 2 decades. The corruption has grown subsequently In Indian society. It is not hidden that there are so many pressing issues in our country like poverty, unemployment, population explosion, unhealthy and unconstructive education system, etc. But no one has ever reached to the root cause of the problem.

India has been marked at the middle at (90-180) of Transparency International's league table of country perception of corruption by the people (including investors, businessmen, etc.).
