Definitions

• Assessment: Using various methods to


obtain information about student learning
that can be used to guide a variety of
decisions and actions
• Evaluation: The process of interpretation
and use of information to make decisions;
judgment regarding the quality, value, or
worth of a response, product or
performance

Assignment
• Your group’s MISSION is to build and fly a
paper airplane
• Prior to doing so you must develop a set of
performance criteria upon which your finished
plane will be evaluated/assessed by the rest of
the participants
• Each team must also develop a personal self –
reflection sheet on this task.
• Each team must compete the “Group work
Evaluation form once the task is completed.
