Exercises Training Events
What is ETOP
Under the direction of the Senior Policy Group (SPG) and the Chief Administrative Officers (CAO), the Exercise and Training Operations Panel (ETOP) is comprised of representatives from the respective NCR state and local jurisdictions.
ETOP is the driving force behind regional collaboration and both short-term and long-range planning for exercise and training initiatives within the NCR. These training initiatives are targeted at the homeland security partners in the NCR, whether governmental or non-governmental, paid or volunteer.
ETOP also serves as the advisory committee to the SPG and CAO to provide recommendations, subject matter expertise and overall guidance for exercise and training projects in the NCR.
What Occurs
Attempt to coordinate the training and exercise activities from all jurisdictions residing in the National Capital Region in order to improve operations, coordination, and synchronization. Support the Training and Exercise Consortium (TEC). The slides from each month s TEC meeting will be posted on the ETOP website: http://ncrportal.mwcog.org/sites/rpwg_etop/default.aspx During the monthly TEC meeting we will review the calendar, provide an overview of the identified events, discuss new events and long range planning, and develop possible resolutions to any event scheduling conflicts.
