Based on the novel, Catch Us If You Can written by Catherine MacPhail, the main character I am going to discuss about is Rory.
Or Rory is the main character from the novel, Catch Us If You Can written by Catherine MacPhail which I am going to discuss about.

First, I find Rory as a brave and courageous person. He plans an escape with his Granda. A timid person wont even think of such a plan. He purposely lets the exit door of the ward open and leaves with Granda when the opportunity arrives. He hides with Granda in a cabin belonged to Darrens mum. Then he continues to run from the police and gets into yet more adventurous and life-threatening situations.

Second, Rory seems to be loving, kind and compassionate. Since Granda has looked after him when he is a child, now he takes the opportunity to repay Granda. He shows his love by taking care of Granda well-being. He treats his Granda well. When Granda is hospitalised at Rachnadar, Rory worries that Granda will be very miserable and sick. He is very frightened when Granda does not respond to him. He is afraid that he will be dead inside. Running away with Granda is thus a compassionate act for Rory because it is the only way to save him.

Third, Rory is a responsible person. This is shown when instead of joining the football team, he chooses to take care of his Granda after school. He gives his Granda medicine on time daily and regularly rushes home during lunchtime to buy two hot pies for their lunch. Moreover, he makes sure Granda sleep on his bed. He also takes care of Grandas safety by reminding him not to cook by himself. His Granda has left the electric ring switched on and burned out a pot a few times.

From the above evidence, it is clear that Rory is an admirable character. He has all the good qualities that we should emulate.
