When voicing out your concern, state: “I am concerned …”
Continue by emphasizing importance of the issue: “I am uncomfortable that you are wearing your lab coat out
again…”
State the safety issue at risk: “This compromises infection control, it’s a safety issue.”

1.Demonstrate application of CUS using violations you have spotted recently.

2.Tips when using CUS:

•Be Specific: Get to the relevant point quickly.

•Focus on behavior, not on the person’s quality: Quote actual behavior that the person had committed and not attack
his character/personality.

•Maintain appropriate tone: Avoid harsh, angry or mono tone but do be firm, to stress importance.

•Right timing: As soon as possible as memory is still fresh but avoid in front of crowd to prevent embarrassment to the
person
