Characteristics of Effective Classroom Instructions


1) The practice of democratic leadership
Democratic leadership styles can create a two-way interaction and lead a healthy socio atmosphere, friendly and harmonious between teacher with students. It can reduce the tense atmosphere and encourage students to engage closely with the teachers.
2) Teaching

It is to lead students to engage in a variety of thoughtprovoking activities such as explaining, finding evidence in examples, generalizing, connecting, applying and making analogies. Teachers make the learning as a long-term, thinking process.

3) Student-centered Classroom
Students construct their own knowledge based on experiential, holistic, authentic, and challenging experiences. Teachers encourage students to reflect on their own learning.

4) Using questioning techniques


During the presentation of the lesson content, teachers can use questioning techniques to get the reaction of pupils or students' opinion. It creates a healthy two-way interaction between teachers and pupils.

Teaching aids are used to attract students and raise their interest in learning. They will seek to learn by engaging in active in teaching and learning activities. Teaching aids is a media that can associate relationship between teacher and pupils.

For example, Teachers should take into account the physical aspects. This can be done by arranging the tables and chairs, depends on the number of students.

Characteristics of Effective Management Practices


1) Minimize crowding and distraction
Arrange furnitire to allow easy traffic flow. Seating arrangement

Establish behavioural expectations/rules. Remind students of rules. Monitor students' behaviour & provide specific feedback.

Respond effectively Attend to students who are displaying inappropriate behaviour Follow school procedures for major problem
