Polycarbonate sheet

Aesthet Polycarbonate Sheet Company has occupied a leading position in domestic market, and is striving for opening up a new market abroad. Our company has introduced five advanced production lines and use high-quality raw polycarbonate material and UV-resistant material. Our products are mainly focused on solid polycarbonate sheet (polycarbonate panels) and hollow polycarbonate sheet such as multiwall and twin-wall polycarbonate sheet. They can be found in many applications like greenhouses, roofing sheet and sound-insulation barrier. Polycarbonate sheet is generally replacing glass, toughened glass and polyethylene membrane in many fields such as agriculture, industry, public buildings and ornaments. It is a perfect combination of lightweight, high impact strength, light transmission, frame-resistance, UV protection, anti-drop as well as charming appearance.

FEATURES
Exceptional light transmission Extreme clarity ensures excellent light transmission. Solid polycarbonate sheet with light transmission up to 89% can compare favorably with glass. UV protection film aids in resistances against yellowing and loss of light transmission. High impact strength Solid structure gives higher impact strength then other plastic sheets or hollow polycarbonate sheets. Its impact strength is about as 200 times much as common glass, and about 10 timer stronger than toughened glass. Lightweight The weight of solid polycarbonate sheet is only one half of glass of the same volume. Light weight saves freight and installation costs. Thermal insulation Polycarbonate sheets have lower thermal conductivity (K-valve), hence reduce the loss of thermal. It is used in buildings to provide a cool summer and warm winter without extra air-conditioning fee. Flame resistance Polycarbonate sheet is rated B1 of fire resistance. Its own ignition point is 580C, and extinguish out of the fire area. When burning, harmful gases neither produce harmful gases nor fuel the fire.

Types of Polycarbonate Sheets

1.) Twin wall polycarbonate sheet
Twin-wall polycarbonate sheet, a standard version of multiwall polycarbonate sheet, is self-supporting without requiring as many grazing bars as floating glass, for the weight of polycarbonate sheet accounts for only a quarter of glass. Light weight and hollow structure together contributes to cost saving and high light transmission.

2.) Twin wall Polycarbonate sheet

Multiwall polycarbonate sheet inherits light transmission, high impact strength, UV resistance, lightweight and thermal insulation from polycarbonate resin. Its multiple walls and hollow structures strengthen these good performances and ensure extensive applications. Applications: In agriculture, multi-wall polycarbonate sheet is an alternative for greenhouses. It has high impact strength against rainstorm, hails, and windy weather; it is specially treated for antidrop, which optimizes light transmission. Multiwall polycarbonate sheet is an ideal choice for sound-proofing wall of highway, railway and city viaduct.

Solid polycarbonate sheet is superior to hollow polycarbonate sheet in light transmission and impact strength. Hence, it is especially suitable for the applications where light is urgently needed, such as lamp boxes, hood lighting, industrial shops and greenhouse.

3.) Solid Polycarbonate sheet

1.) Solid polycarbonate sheets at the top of building are built into an entertainment venue where people can drink coffee or play chess

2.) Solid polycarbonate sheets and glass match each other in light transmission. However, polycarbonate sheet can block UV rays out, glass fails.

Corrugated polycarbonate sheets feature corrugated surface and self-supporting structure. Self-supporting structure requires less glazing bars decreasing total load of the greenhouse and save installation cost significantly. In contrast to flat polycarbonate sheet such as twin-wall or solid sheets, corrugated sheet can control and adjust the light transmission by changing the direction of the light, allowing for more sunlight for the plants in the morning and evening. Corrugated polycarbonate sheet has optimum impact strength and durability to withstand high wind, heavy snow and hail damage. Corrugated polycarbonate sheets are usually designed with multiple walls. Hollow structure enhances thermal insulation and reduces the cost of temperature control about 30% - 40%.

4.) Corrugated Polycarbonate Sheet

1.) Circular corrugated polycarbonate sheet 2.) Angular polycarbonate sheet sketch map

Why select polycarbonate sheets?

Polycarbonate sheet is generally replacing glass, toughened glass and polyethylene membrane in many fields such as agriculture, industry, public buildings and ornaments. It is a perfect combination of lightweight, high impact strength, light transmission, frameresistance, UV protection, anti-drop as well as charming appearance. Clear polycarbonate sheet is as transparent as glass, but weighs only a half. Lightweight makes it easy to transport and install. Polycarbonate sheets, especially solid polycarbonate sheets, such as embossed and frosted sheets, have extremely high impact strength. According to test data, impact strength of polycarbonate sheet is about 200 times higher than the common glass, and 2 to 20 times the tempering glass. They are quite suitable for places where has a high potentiality of encountering hail, high wind and storm rain. Sufficient light is an essential element of the greenhouse. Common glass and polyethylene are easy to produce water drops on the surface, which severely reduces light transmission and hinders plant growth. After special treatment, condensation will not produce on the interior surface of polycarbonate sheet.

Where is polycarbonate sheet used in?

Versatile polycarbonate sheets have a big family. For surface corrugations, smooth, embossed and frosted surfaces are manufactured. Smooth surface is for high light transmission, embossed and frosted are mainly used in decorating properties and buildings and create a comfortable and attractive view to dull life. For constructions, both solid and hollow sheets are widely used all around the world. The prominent differences between solid and hollow sheets are light transmission and impact strength. Solid sheets are much stronger than hollow ones, but inferior to hollow sheet in thermal insulation. Hence, solid sheets are widely used in lighting, skylight, helmets. Hollow sheets are relatively cheap. They are also widely used in greenhouses and shop malls.

Construction Solid polycarbonate sheet is single solid layer, while hollow sheet has at least two walls. Thermal insulation Hollow polycarbonate or multiwall sheet is superior to solid sheet in thermal insulation for it traps air in its hollow structure as an excellent thermal barrier. Light transmission Multiwall polycarbonate sheet is not as good as solid sheet. Weight Solid sheet is heavier than hollow sheet
