GENOP with its integrated feature prevent the motorization of DG engine. This function being available as a part of GENOP is available if PLC or Power fails... if GENOP fails to prevent this within a predefined time duration, it can stop generator to prevent any damage

Task of Load Shedding is not only the responsibility of PLC in the event of overcurrent or underfrequency the GENOP disconnects the unessential loads after some delay after occurance of any of these events. Function is available without PLC also !

Distinguishing Features of GENOP

Easy parameterization from any Standard PC means of Serial Interface (RS232) integrated on GENOP. Easy parameterization instead of programming, using any standard PC. GENOP has inbuilt intelligence unit to perform the synchronization task. This feature enables GENOP to perform its task as a Standalone unit, without any PLC requirement- but with no compromise on performance.

Redundant power supply in GENOP GENOP unit also has a back power supply, fed from the generator. This is in addition to the one feeding from isolating converter.

Distinguishing Features of GENOP

GENOP has an integrated Profibus-DP port, with which GENOP can be connected to a PLC to collect, process, transfer data and take appropriate control action. If any application calls for connection to a PLC, this Profibus port can be used to connect GENOP to PLC. This standard communication interface apart from the PLC connectivity offers following benefits.
Open Communication Protocol (EN 50170) Fast Communication/Response time (12 Mbps; e.g at 1.5 Mbps and 30 nodes a response time of less than 15 ms) Data block upto 244 Bytes can be communicated Easy parameterization through PLC programming software Can be mounted remote to PLC, hence reducing the wiring to be done from Syncronisation module to DG set interfaces In case of any fault at control side, GENOP can be switched on to the standalone mode to continue the syncronisation task

Totally Integrated Automation solutions for Power Management applications ensuring the benefits of Better Productivity and Reduced costs for the user
