The term Arab Spring

The term "Arab Spring" is an allusion to the Revolutions of 1848, which is sometimes referred to as "Springtime of the People", and the Prague Spring in 1968. In the aftermath of the Iraq War it was used by various commentators and bloggers who anticipated a major Arab movement towards democratization.

What is the Arab Spring

The Arab Spring is a term for the revolutionary wave of demonstrations and protest (both violent and nonviolent), riots and civil wars in the Arab world that began on the 18th of December 2010. To date, rulers have been forced from power in Tunisia Egypt (twice) ,Libya, and Yemen; civil uprisings have erupted in Bahrain and Syria; major protests have broken out in Algeria, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Morocco, and Sudan; and minor protests have occurred in Mauritania, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Djibouti, Western Sahara and the Palestinian Authority.

Arab Spring

The people that were in power form these countries were overthrown by the people and although some regained their dominance and all of them are all living in poor conditions. And their has been no end to the Arab Spring and they have been going on ever since.
