3. Obtain Authorization - for non-chip cards, swipe


the card on the POS terminal. For CHIP cards, insert in the chip reader when available

Insert card Check if the card has a chip, then insert. If none, the card must be a counterfeit. Call our Authorization Center 88100 for proper handling* Pickup call the Authorization Center 88100 to validate this POS message; pick-up/retain the card by peaceful means* Approved compare the sales slip details versus the physical card, especially the cardholder's name and the last 4 digits

* REWARD WILL BE GIVEN WHEN FRAUDULENT CARDS ARE RECOVERED

REMINDERS
Transactions on a CHIP Compliant Terminal If the card has a CHIP, the default should ALWAYS be INSERT THE CARD. If the POS gives a DECLINE or a DO NOT HONOR message, DO NOT even attempt using the magnetic stripe. Magnetic stripe shall be used ONLY if the POS will give a message of SWIPE THE CARD. If the POS prompts for INSERT THE CARD, the processor should examine if the CHIP is PRESENT. If the card has NO CHIP, the processor should not even attempt INSERTING or DIPPING the card. With this scenario, the processor should be alerted to call 88100 for assistance. At this POINT there is a great possibility that the card is a COUNTERFEIT.

Obtain Authorization and Remember Code 10
Code 10 is a universal code that provides merchants with a way to alert the Authorization Center that a suspicious transaction is occurring The Authorizer asks a series of questions that can be answered with YES or NO responses Follow the Authorizers instructions NEVER ENDANGER YOURSELF!!
