with one other differently and whose behaviours have a globalization impact
The self therefore is an important aspect to the concepts of globalisation In todays global village and digital age, Twitter touches every aspect of

our personal lives and is one of contemporary developments in the global media
Twitter has shifted how we construct our identities and relate to the global

world

I TWEET, THEREFORE I AM
Twitter user was asked on why she tweets I dont know, you do it to impress

other people really. Like, if theres someone thats following you that youre interested in, then you kind of want to say things that you think that person would enjoy or, like, just to inform them. It kind of clues them in to who you are

Twitter has therefore provided a fast, exciting, innovative and cheap way of

expressing ones self

The most recent shocking example occurred when the

A May 2013 report on digital hate speech from the

Simon Wiesenthal Center says Twitter helped spur a 30% growth in online forums for hate and terrorism over the past year. The study says more than 20,000 "hatespewing hashtags and handles" appeared on Twitter in 2012, up 5,000 from the year before. The group identified Twitter as a "chief offender" among social media sites because of a lack of monitoring of hate and terrorist content.

THEREFORE
The significance of twitter and its effects on individuals should not be overlooked in this

age of social media revolution and cultural changes brought in by globalization.
