Hybrid Feature
E1 services and Ethernet services are multiplexed into Hybrid microwave frames in the local MUX unit. After the Hybrid microwave frames are modulated through the modem, they are transmitted to the opposite end through the transmitter. The opposite receiver demodulates the received signals into Hybrid microwave frames through the modem. Then, the DMUX unit separates the Hybrid microwave frames into E1 services and Ethernet services.

The Hybrid microwave frame is transmitted at a fixed interval . The border of the Hybrid microwave frame is the same as the border of air-interface frames. At the same symbol rate, the frame time periods corresponding to different modulation schemes are the same. The Hybrid microwave frame remains the frame length unchanged in the case of a certain modulation scheme or bandwidth. The E1 services that are multiplexed into the Hybrid microwave frame use a certain proportion of the bandwidth of this Hybrid microwave frame. Hence, the TDM feature of the E1 services is not affected in the case of Hybrid microwave transmission. The Ethernet services that are multiplexed into the Hybrid microwave frame use the remaining bandwidth of this Hybrid microwave frame. This does not affect the Ethernet services because the Ethernet frames undergo certain encapsulation and adaptation processes.
The hybrid transmission of native E1 services and native Ethernet services in the Hybrid microwave is supported. Copyright 2006 Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. All rights reserved. Page 9

The OptiX RTN 605 1A/1B/2B uses two separate RJ45 ports for the auxiliary ports F1 and S1, and the OptiX RTN 605 1D/2D uses one RJ45 port for F1 and S1. If the OptiX RTN 605 1D/2D functions as a standby of the OptiX RTN 605 1A/1B/2B, cables need to be prepared on site. 3. IF Cable
IF cables supply 48 V power to the ODU and transmit service signals and management signals between the IDU and the ODU.
The cables for connecting the IDU and ODU of the OptiX RTN 600 include two types: Thick cable
Composed of an IF jumper and an IF cable. IF jumper: a 2 m RG223 cable. One end of the IF jumper is a TNC connector for connecting to the IF board and the other end is a type N connector for connecting to the IF cable.
IF cable: Both ends are type N connectors. One end is connected to the IF jumper and other end is connected to the ODU. IF cables support two models: RG-8U and 1/2-inch.

TDM Service
The timeslots of TDM services on the IF unit map to the E1 port of the IDU. No cross-connection needs to be configured.
The E1 port maps to timeslots of TDM services on the IF unit in various radio
modes. That is, E1-1 maps to the first E1 timeslot of the IF unit, E1-2 maps to the second E1 timeslot of the IF unit, and so on. So, If the radio capacity of PDH radio equipment is 5xE1s, 10xE1s, or 16xE1s, services only on the first 5, 10, or 16 E1
ports are transmitted by radio. For PDH enhanced or Hybrid radio equipment, if E1
Capacity is set to n, services only on n E1 ports are transmitted by radio.
The default channel impedance of the OptiX RTN 605 is 75 ohms. If the actual channel impedance is different from the default value, the Port Impedance parameter is mandatory.

Ethernet Service
The OptiX RTN 605 1E/2E supports three service types: QinQbased EVPL, EPLAN, and IEEE 802.1q bridge-based EVPLAN.
Service Description
The source port adds an SVLAN to all received Ethernet packets and transmits them to the sink port.
Port + CVLAN (source) The source port adds an SVLAN to Port + SVLAN (sink) received Ethernet packets that contain a specified CVLAN and transmits them to the sink port.

Forwarding ports defined in the VLAN filtering table Sub-switching domains are divided by VLAN.
Carriers often require mutual access between non-central sites and the central site but do not require the mutual access between non-central sites for convergence services. In this case, the port on which the bridge is mounted needs to be defined as a hub port or Spoke port. By default, the mount port is defined as a hub port. The mount port of the central site is often set as a hub port and the mount ports of non-central sites are set as spoke ports. In this manner, the central site can communicate with any non-central sites but any two non-central sites cannot communicate with each other. Copyright 2006 Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. The EMS6 board provides four FE ports and two GE ports, and implements L2 switching of services.
The four FE ports use the standard RJ45 connector and are 10M/100M auto-sensing. For the two GE ports, different SFP modules can be selected based on the actual application scenario to provide two GE optical ports or GE electrical ports.
The EMS6 board is developed based on the OptiX RTN 600 V100R002. The board hardware is not
changed but the software is enhanced in data features on the OptiX RTN 600 V100R003.
When the EMS6 board and IFH2 board are used together, the SFP module that supports the RJ45
electrical port must be selected. The preceding figure shows the RJ45 GE ports.

Provides six ports: 4 FE ports and 2 SFP GE ports. The four FE ports are port 1 to port 4 and they are RJ45 electrical ports. The two SFP GE ports can be LC optical ports or RJ45 electrical ports. If the GE ports are electrical ports, they are compatible with FE ports. The FE ports and GE electrical ports of the EMS6 board support MDI, MDI-X, and the auto-sensing mode. The attributes of external ports include the basic attributes, tag attributes, network attributes, traffic control, advanced attributes. Internal ports The EMS6 board internally provides eight internal ports: VC trunk 1 to VC trunk 8. The common parameters including the tag attributes, encapsulation/mapping protocol, network attributes, bound channels, and LCAS parameters need to be set for each internal port. If a VC trunk is bound to VC-3 channels, it can be bound to all VC3 channels of VC4-1 and VC4-2 and a maximum of six channels can be bound. If a VC trunk is bound to VC-12 channels, it can be bound to all VC12s of VC4-2 and a maximum of 63 channels can be bound.
Page 46
Version description
The EMS6 board supports two function versions: SL61EMS6VER.A and SL61EMS6VER.B. VER.B supports point-to-point link-state pass through (LPT), link aggregation group (LAG), and Ethernet OAM. The EMS6 board can be inserted into slot 4 to slot 8 of the IDU 620. The backplane bandwidth is 2xVC4s. VC12s can be configured only on the second VC4. There is only one internal virtual bridge (VB).

The technical indicators of the ODU include the frequency band information, receiver sensitivity, and transceiver performance.
Receiver sensitivity: relevant to the link capacity, modulation mode, and working frequency band. The smaller link capacity means the lower modulation mode efficiency, lower working frequency band, and higher receiver sensitivity.
Transceiver performance: including the rated maximum transmit power (relevant to the working frequency band and modulation mode. the ODU with a lower frequency band and lower efficiency has larger rated transmit power), rated minimum transmit power (varies according to ODUs), and rated maximum receive power (20 dBm).
