He grew up in Palo Alto, which is about 20 minutes from Cupertino. Jeremy Lin is the first Asian American NBA player born in United States. His parents are engineers who come from Taiwan. His brothers and his dad all love to play basketball.

 He started to play basketball in YMCA. Lin captained Palo Alto High School to win 32 games and lose only 1. So, his team won 2006 California Championship.

 He went to Harvard to study Economics. At Harvard, he was twice named to the all-Ivy League first team.

 When he graduated from Harvard, he joined Golden State Warriors, here in San Jose. But he was cut last December. Then, he was hired by Houston Rockets and he got cut again!

 Finally New York Knicks hired him, but he didnt get to play much until one Saturday on February 4. Everything changed! Lin came of the bench and powered the Knicks to a 99-92 victory over the New Jersey Nets at Madison Square Garden.
