CALCULATIONS: FIXED COST (per month): Monthly Rent= Rs. 30,000 Advertisement= Rs. 4,00,000/12 = Rs.33,333.33 Salary= Rs. 11,000 Total FC Rs. 74,333.33 VARIABLE COST(per marriage) Consultant fees= Rs.15,000 Hired Staff= Rs. 10,000 Miscellaneous Expenses= Rs. 15,000 Total VC Rs. 40,000 SELLING PRICE ( commission per marriage)= Rs. 90,000 CALCULATION OF BEP: BEP= FC/(SP-VC)= 74,333.33/(90,000-40,000)= 1.5 Thus, we obtain our BEP at 1.5 units. It means that our cost revenue will be equal if we will be able to plan at least 2 marriages per month.
