COMMUNITY?
• PepsiCo has always contributed towards the community
through its corporate giving and community programs.
It has contributed widely in following sectors and
people:-
• Shareholders- provided shareholders with a strong
return on their investments. In 2007,paid $2.2 billion in
dividends and a 26 percent return.
• Associates —employed approximately 185,000 people.
• Retailers —created income and profit for customers,
which mean jobs and opportunities in millions of retail
establishments around the world.
• Suppliers — In 2008, purchased billions of dollars of
supplies, services and raw materials. These purchases
helped to support additional jobs in many

• PepsiCo China won 4 major
awards at the 5th Anniversary
Award Ceremony of the Mother
Water Cellar Project held in
Shanghai on June 5, 2006.
• The recognition was presented
on behalf of the China Women's
Federation with regard to
PepsiCo's contribution to the
Mother Water Cellar project and
to the Chinese community in
general. The project helps provide
access to water to residents in
dry areas of rural China.

PepsiCo Foundation Announces Grant to
Save the Children to Address Malnutrition in
Developing Nations

announced a three-year, $5 million grant
to Save the Children to help ensure the
survival and well-being of children living
in rural India and Bangladesh, which
together are home to 40 percent of the
world's malnourished children.
