when the model was estimated for different income levels, foreign aid variable has a positive sign in three out of four cases, indicating that foreign aid appears to have a positive effect on economic growth in developing countries.
Recommendations
India Should make agreements for external assistance with agencies charging lower rate of interests. Quantum of foreign Aid should be reduced. Need of optimum utilization of aid and efficient execution of projects.
Comments by Expert
If global aid is used productively and efficiently, it could raise the social infrastructure, hence quality of the human resounce (population), and the Human Development Index of India and in the long run help narrow the rich - poor gap through inclusive growth. This would ultimately lead to greater per capita income and probably greater revenue for the government too.. Dr Shubhada Sabade, a Columnist in Economic Times and Financial Express and Visiting Faculty at Symbiosis and IIPM
Conclusion
Effective utilization of foreign aid has positive impact on economy. Lots of work are still needed to be done in all the sectors, cases shown in the presentation shows the success stories of various projects completed in various countries .
Facts shows that there had been significant development in various fields such as poverty decline ,boost literacy, controlling & managing spreading of fatal diseases & Infrastructural development.
