GCET EXAM

ABOUT GCET
As per the recent notification by GTU in leading news papers of Gujarat, GCET (Gujarat Common Entrance Test) is conducted for getting admission in MBA and MCA colleges. According to the notification, all AICTE approved as well as colleges/institutes affiliated with GTU will have to consider score of CMAT 2013 (Common Management Aptitude Test) for giving admission to MBA and MCA program. Every year it is conducted between March to August.

ELIGIBILITY

Candidates who are graduates with minimum 50%(45% for SC/ST) marks aggregate are eligible to apply for the test subject to fulfilling at least one of the following criteria.
Candidate must have passed graduation from one the Universities located in Gujarat. Candidates who are in their final year of graduation are also eligible for the test.

EXAM PATTERN
GCET 2013 is a computer based written examination. It consists of 100 multiple choice questions. The time allotted to complete the examination is 80 minutes. There will be test of 96 minutes for students appearing for MBA & MCA both with 120 multiple choice questions. GCET 2013 covers the following areas Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language Skills, General Knowledge.

Reasoning

Verbal Reasoning, Syllogisms, Contextual usage, Analogies, Antonyms, Fill In the Blanks etc.

General Knowledge
Current Affairs, Business, Punch line of companies etc.

APPLICATION PROCESS
Candidate has to complete the application form on the website. www.gtu.ac.in. Registration Acknowledgement: Candidate has to report to the nearest Help Centre along with duly signed application form, acknowledgement slip and Xerox copy of required documents to get the registration acknowledgement slip.
