PRIME TEXTILES was established in the year 2000 by Mr. G.Vijay Pratap Reddy and R.Praveen as a leading manufacturer of quality textiles and other made-ups Prime textiles have adopted the advance technology so as to meet the customers demand. The advanced technology, well qualified employees, high quality, competitive price and reliable services for on time delivery are the competitive strengths of this organization.

We aim to accurately meet the needs of our markets across the state through the development and introduction of existing and new products. These products are developed to meet and exceed our customers expectations in the area of quality and performance.

Reactive Alternatives: Reactive Alternatives are actions that can be taken to cope with demand requirements.

Aggressive Alternatives: Aggressive Alternatives are actions that attempt to modify demand and, consequently, resource requirements.

Planning Strategies:
1. Chase Strategy 2. Level-Utilization strategy 3. Level-inventory strategy

DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEMS:


The main decision support tool they use is MIS i.e Management Information system and spreadsheets where the demand and sales are recorded and helps in taking decisions for future. These takes input values, process the data which gives the result that helps in taking decisions by managers.

MATERIAL REQURIREMENT PLANNING (MRP)


Whenever there is uneven demand so the administration prefer to go with material requirement planning it also helps somewhat in forecasting of the product in MRP we do planning according to the products to make and how much is the material required for the manufacturing

In every company operations planning and controls is very important as it varies the performance of an organization. Operations management refers to the systematic design, direction, and control of processes that transform inputs into services and products. We can say that PRIME Textiles is following the operations management strategies to get a better output. This may helpful in raising their market share as they produce the quality goods.

MY EXPERIENCE AND LEARNINGS


How SCM works in an organization The topics like Lean System, Aggregate Planning, strategies of Distribution and Packaging is more clear doing this field work project How we can remove the waste MUDA in Lean system with the help of forecasting, Just in Time, Aggregate Planning. How Flexible workforce and automation helps in Operations, SCM and Distribution channel How we can full fill the sudden rise in Demand of product with the help of Chase strategy and Level Utilization strategy. How a decision support system works in an organization and what is material requirement planning (MRP),Master production schedule (MPS) What are cost incurred in the operations and inventory holding and what is back order cost.
