INTRODUCTION

• Most digital images still start out from


traditional media. In fact, traditional
photography was the one who gave birth to
digital photography. Therefore, the two are
parallel to each other. Aside from inheriting
the features of traditional photography,
digital photography only improved the
ability to produce the exact desired image.

light is reflected onto a
photo reactive film.

special sensor called a
“CCD” captures and
records the image.

DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY
• The pictures do not need to be developed at the
store, saving money and time.
• The picture you took can be viewed within a few
seconds of taking it.
• You can readily delete photos within the camera
that are done improperly or by mistake.
• You can upload to a computer and use software to
enhance the photo further.

• Pictures take a long time to load
• no ‘real’ hardcopy

comparable traditional cameras, and repair cost
tend to be higher.
• Image quality: Only high-end digital cameras,
with their superior resolution, can begin to
compare with the quality of film.
• Shutter speed: Higher resolution demands slower
