Amul dairy was established on 14th December, 1946 at Anand by Sardar Vallabh bhai Patel. The word Amul derived from sanskrit word Amulya, means precious. It has various products like milk, curd, cheese, butter, ghee etc. Amul (Anand Milk Union Limited). It is a dairy cooperative movement in India. Starting with milk and milk powder, the Amul brand today covers a range of dairy productsfrom chocolates to cheese and, of course, butter. It is a brand name managed by an apex cooperative organization.
