ACTIVITY REPORT OF THE JABALPUR DIOCESAN SOCIAL SERVICE SOCIETY{JDSSS} FOR THE YEAR 2007-2008
OUR VISION: Build human communities where every person is enabled to receive & support life in its fullness and establish a society where Justice, Liberation and Peace prevail. OUR MISSION: Sustainable Development through the Empowerment of the Poor. JDSSS is committed to its original Vision and Mission and to translate them into action, it continues to concentrate on two major concerns of the society that are necessary for any developmental work. 1. Integrated Human Resource Development and 2. Environmental Restoration through Natural Resource Management. There are many who contribute to this cause directly or indirectly.

2. New Governing body in Two of the Cooperatives: Since the term for the governing body members of Dullopur and Junwani is over the procedure to elect the new governing body has already begun.
3. General Body Meeting: General body meeting of all the 6 Cooperatives took place in which capacity building and motivation on sustainability of the cooperatives were discussed. And during the general body meeting the details of income and expenditure of the society was presented before the assembly.
4. Income Generation Program: Income generation program is one of the main factors of sustaining of the cooperatives so to make all the account holders aware of this important issue there were trainings for the general body members of 5 cooperatives societies. All the general body members have decided to do different income generation program. 5. Record keeping Training: All the 6 cooperative society managers and 2 of other members who could in future take the responsibility of the manager from each society are given training on record keeping. During the training there were given sufficient input on how to keep the records up to date. And some of the mistakes in record keeping were also rectified. Now they have learned the importance of proper record keeping. 6. Coordination of the six Cooperatives: Regular coordination and a systematic functioning of all the 6 cooperative societies are being done under the guidance of the coordinator. The coordination is established through coordinated details of all accounts, savings, expenditure, loan given, loan refunded, and cooperative related activities in 6 centers. This is possible through the regular visits of the coordinator to all the cooperative societies. And they are recorded and reported to JDSSS. The coordinator has become more efficient in his job now.
