Equalization station: for more than 10 OAs cascading, NMS-based adjustable. Benefit : Optimizes channel OSNR. Depress EDFA gain competition. Enhances transport distance. Internal Use 23

Convenient Network Maintenance () - - Built-in Optical Spectrum Analyzer

Built-in OSA: Supports remote optical performance monitoring of channel wavelength. Power, central wavelength and OSNR.

Internal Use

24

Convenient Network Maintenance() - - VOA, ALC, APR,AGC

Maintenance resource saving without any manual interruption: Automatically adjustable to fiber broken, span loss changed or wavelength add/drop. IPA function responds to fiber broken.

ALC function responds to span loss changed caused by external stress or fiber aging.
AGC function responds to wavelength add/drop

Note: ALC: Auto Level Control Internal Use

IPA: Intelligent Power Adjustment AGC:Auto Gain Control 25

Convenient Network Maintenance () - - Optical-Time-Domain-Reflectometer

Repair time saving : In case of fiber cut-off, the operator can locate the break-point immediately

Built-in OTDR units support remote optical fiber performance monitoring of loss distribution and return-loss point distribution, providing original figure for system maintenance..
