Water supply system means the water service pipe, the water distributing pipes, and the and the necessary connecting pipes, fittings, control valves and all appurtenances within the building or it may be outside the building, within the property boundary.
Water service pipe :"Water service pipe" means the pipe from the water main or other source of water supply to the water distributing system of the building served.

USAGE OF WATER
DOMESTIC :The average daily domestic requirement of water like bathing, cooling, washing and toilet flushing for different type of building.
AIR CONDITIONING AND VENTILATION SYSTEM :Large quantities of water are required for building equipped with evaporative cooled air conditioning/ refrigeration. In both cases the heat absorbed in the cooling equipment is exchanged with atmospheric air by spraying water on cooling tower.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS :Water is required in buildings having laboratories, laundries, kitchens or other processes requiring water.

USAGE OF WATER
SWIMMING POOLS :Large quantity water is required for ornamental pools, fountains, cascades for human comfort.
FIRE FIGHTING :A small percentage of the gross storage of water is lost for fire fighting system provided in building for human safety.
GARDENING :Building with gardens, internal landscape areas, plotted plants, and open courtyards require water for horticultural operations.

WB :- WASH BASIN(LAVATORY)
It is called as Wash basin. The purpose of a WHB is to carry out the waste water to the stack. It is also made up of ceramic material. WB shall be provided drain with a trap, over flow passage, with or with out pop up waste coupling and hot and cold mixer. As per the standard both cold & and hot water pipe sizes are 16mm supply. The bottom of pipe of WB is 600mm from finished floor level.

FOR EXAMPLE : LET 65 PIPE IS RUNNING TO THE APPARTMENT FROM RISER CONSIDERING THE BOTTOM OF LEVEL AT STARTING POINT FOR HOT WATER 2850 MM AND FOR COLD WATER 2750 MM FROM FINISHED FLOOR LEVEL.
