1) Picture poem : Words are arranged to make a shape

House by Anonymous

A house can be tall, short, wide or thin, with many rooms, or only a few. It can be home for all the family or simply me and my pets.

Picture poems offer a visual perspective on the arrangement of words,

An effective means of encouraging learners to interact with the target vocabulary.

By using non-grammatical structures, students can play with the language-it allows students to take away the stress of correct punctuation and prose structure.

Encourages experimentation and appreciation of the beauty of words and ideas

Allows students to make deeply personal statements in the target language, unrestricted by syntax and grammar.

2. Nursery Rhymes
Baa, baa, black sheep, Have you any wool? Yes sir, yes sir, Three bags full; One for the master, And one for the dame, And one for the little boy Who lives down the lane.

Nursery rhymes are a simple form of poetry

Develop new vocabulary in the English languageincrease their sight words exposure

Expose students to the different intonation in English- how to use tone for different statement

Allow the youngest readers to develop prereading skills.

Nursery rhymes play with rhymes and sounds, excellent for teaching phonological awareness, where children can simply play with the sounds of the words.

3. Rhymic poem
Bitter Butter Betty Botter bought some butter, But, she said, this butters bitter: If I put it in my batter, It will make my batter bitter, But a bit of better butter Will make my batter better. So she bought a bit of butter Better than her bitter butter,

The students will be able to recognize rhyming words through poetry. Improve English pronunciation.

4. Blow Your Nose! by Bruce Lansky

Little Boy Blue please blow your nose. It drips like a faucet and sprays like a hose. Your brother and sister are getting upset, so please blow your nose cause youre getting them wet!

. Mind Your Manners

by Bruce Lansky

Dont drum on the table. Dont play with your food. Dont talk while youre chewing; its terribly rude. Dont leave the fridge open. Dont slam the screen door. Dont throw dirty laundry all over the floor. Dont fight with your brother. Dont pull the cats tail. Dont open your big sisters personal mail. Dont pester your parents. Dont stick out your tongue. Dont do what your parents did

Thank you
