History
There is an argument over whether the Bible is a book

of science. Critics say, Let science speak to science and the Bible to religion. (Separate spheres) Fact: The Bible is not a book of science. Fact: The Bible is a book of history. Fact: The history recorded in the Bible does have scientific implications. The Bible is full of miracles.

The Flood
Genesis 7:1724 (ESV) 17 The flood continued forty days on the

God Saw This Coming

2 Peter 3:36 (ESV) knowing this first of all, that

scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires. They will say, Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation. For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God, and that by means of these the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished.

Hebrews 4:911 (NASB95) So then, there remains a

Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered Gods rest has also rested from his works as God did from his. Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience.

The Gospel

Resurrection
1 Corinthians 15:1922 (ESV) If in Christ we have hope

in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied. But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.

New Earth
Revelation 21:15 (ESV) Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.
