STEPS
Suruh siswa duduk berpasangan. Tiap siswa dalam satu kelompok diberi tiga chips atau benda apa saja untuk menggantikan chip dengan ukuran atau warna berbeda. Secara bergantian mereka membuat kalimat berdasarkan benda-benda dalam kotak itu seperti It is a table lalu menempatkan chip mereka.

Penempatan chip tidak boleh melompati satu kotak. Pemenangnya adalah siswa yang berhasil menempatkan chip atau alat bantu lain secara diagonal, vertikal, atau horizontal. Contoh pemenangnya adalah seperti berikut.

Kelompokkan siswa dengan anggota sekitar 8 10 orang per kelompok. Suruh mereka berdiri berkelompok membentuk lingkaran.

Tiap kelompok akan melemparkan kotak tersebut ke atas dan menjatuhkannya.


Tiap orang dalam kelompok harus cepat-cepatan atau bersama-sama mengucapkan sapaan yang ada pada sisi atas kotak itu, misalnya pada posisi kotak di atas, sapaan yang terlihat adalah good afternoon, maka siswa mengucapkan good afternoon.

ELLICITATION STEPS
Ajukan kepada siswa pertanyaan: What are you doing now? Tunjuklah pada 1 siswa lalu tanyakan ke semua siswa yang lain: What is he doing? Tunjuklah pada 1 siswi lalu tanyakan ke semua siswa yang lain: What is she doing?

STEPS OF PRESENTATION
Ajukan pertanyaan ke 1 orang siswa tertentu sambil menuliskan pertanyaan Anda di papan tulis: What are you doing? Bantulah siswa itu menjawab pertanyaan anda dan menuliskan jawabannya di papan tulis, misalnya: I am studying. Ajukan pertanyaan yang sama ke seluruh kelas dan menuliskannya di papan tulis: What are you doing?

Bantulah mereka menjawab bersama-sama dan menuliskan jawaban mereka di papan tulis, misalnya: We are studying. Tunjuklah pada 1 siswa dan tanyakan ke semua siswa yang lain: What is he doing? Bantu siswa menjawab dan menuliskan jawaban di papan tulis, misalnya: He is smiling. Lalu tunjuklah pada 1 siswi dan tanyakan ke semua siswa: What is she doing?

Bantu siswa menjawab dan tuliskan jawaban di papan tulis, misalnya: She is writing. Dengan demikian, akan terbentuk pola kalimat seperti berikut: What are you doing? I am studying. What is he doing? He is smiling. What is she doing? She is writing.

CREATING GOOD TEACHING ATMOSPHERE


A good class atmosphere is very important to make the English learning-teaching process run well so that the students can achieve their English competency. In this context, the teacher has a central part to create a good class atmosphere. Therefore, a teacher should:

HOW TO MAKE RPP


Consider the following things:
1. The competency that must be achieved. 2. Indicators which describe the achievement. 3. The target of the learning-teaching process. 4. The material or the topic of the learning. 5. Teaching methods. 6. The stages to apply the methods. 7. Learning sources and media. 8. Assessment to measure the learning target.

CHARACTERISTICS
Contain the stages of teaching. The steps should be systematically arranged to achieve the goal of the learning teaching. The RPP should be made in detail.

HOW TO FILL RPP FORMAT


A. School Identity: School name, Subject, Class/Semester, Standard of Competency, Basic Competency, Indicator and Time Alllocation. The RPP should be made for 1 Basic Competency. Standard of Competency, Basic Competency, and Indicator can be taken from the syllabus for SD.

B. Learning-Teaching Target State clearly the target of the lesson. What the students should master.
C. Material This covers the material or the topic and related media or audio cassette.

D. Learning-Teaching Methods State the methods

E. Steps or stages of teaching How you run the lesson from the beginning to the end. What you should do first and what you should do next (Intronduction, Body, Closure) F. Learning sources Books, media, teaching material, and so on G. Assessment: Technique, instrument form, assessment format
