Mission of working with non-profit organizations as a consulting team Explore potential for helping identify goals for next few years and how to implement them Dig deep in allocation of resources (volunteers and donations), strategic plans, reaching bigger markets, better serving current markets Sponsored by Manleys Mighty Marts and Big Als Pizza: winning team gets a $2,000 donation to their organization Within six months, consulted organizations implement an average of 70% of proposed suggestions based on prior projects Professor Kim Jaussi, executive coach Patty Albaugh

What is our plan?


Phase 1: Observation, target completion 3/4/13 Familiarize ourselves with the organizational structure Interview executives and supervisors regarding their role and experience in the organization Observation of organization, shadowing counselors and executives, classes, board meetings, day-to-day activities etc. Total of 700-900 man hours typically spent inside and involved with organization by project completion

Phase 2: Research, target completion 3/18/13 Thorough analysis of organizational documentation Measure effectiveness of current procedures in regard to organizations mission, collect data External research, competitive analysis

What is our plan?


Phase 3: Analysis, target completion 4/1/13 Aggregate data Utilize strategic tools and models (SWOT analysis, BCG Matrix, etc.) Analyze raw data qualitatively and quantitatively via useful formats (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Reevaluate need for further research Integrate and synthesize conclusions from phases

Phase 4: Proposal of ideas, target completion 4/25/13 Formulate strategic recommendations

Ensure plausibility and effectiveness of recommendations


Refine ideas and deliverables to maximize value and effectiveness of our recommendations Final presentation
