Cutting Section Paper Machining Power House

Pulp Mill Maintenance.


Steps Involved
Initially raw material(eucalyptus wood) is fed into 'chipper house' where it is cut into small chips. Then with help of conveyer belt it is moved and stored into storage house. Then chips and liquor are mixed into 'Digestor Chamber' for 'Cooking' at desired pressure and temperature in proper proportion. After proper cooking mixture is passed through 'Screening Chamber' where excepted fiber of 0.8mm is passed to 'Press Chamber'. In press chamber 'Squeezing' takes place in three stage with the help of 'twin rollers'. After squeezing pulp is passed to 'Oxygen Reactors' to remove lignin. At last our pulp is fed into 'Bleaching Section' for more shining as well as to ensure there is no lignin.

CHIPPER HOUSE
Consist of feed roller mechanism and conveyor belts for transmission of material. There are two cutting machines used for cutting (Pallman & Valco). It consist of oscillating screen and motor to drive it. In addition of that it has screener. Large rotor is run by an electric motor running at 900 R.P.M Blades are cut an angle of 30 degree with base and surface grinding is used for its finishing.

Steps Involved
Collection of pulp in chest. Mix is fed into pressure screener, where pulp is separate into accept and reject parts. Accept pulp is pumped into 'Duplex Mould', where pulp is pressed to remove its water. Paper web is then passed into different stages of pressing to ensure complete removal of water. Next stage is drying, where saturated steam is used to dry paper by removing its latent heat of condensation.

In this section glossing is done with the help of M.G. After glossing once again drying is done, with the help of steam only. Next stage is of coating, where chemicals are used to coat paper to enhance its brightness and other chemical properties. Then inspection is done over entire length and breadth of paper to check its thickness and percentage moisture content(7%). And finally paper get rolled in "cop rill".
