Features
1. A Centrally Sponsored Scheme approved in August 2010;
2. Project Cost: of Rs. 104.05 Crores; 3. Involves a computerized networking of about 7032 nodes in the country; 4. Web based System - facilitating to record and monitor livestock disease situation in the country; 5. All the notified diseases scheduled in The Prevention and Control of Infectious & Contagious Diseases in Animals Act 2009 included in this reporting system about OIE notified 143 diseases; 6. Non-OIE notified diseases also included, in view of economic loss, as asked by State Governments. 7. Single Channel for Information Dissemination.

ICT Infrastructure Installed and made operational 6832 NADRS project locations out of 7032 NADRS project locations (April 2011 March 2012) 15 sites per day on average NADRS National Servers 9 at NDC, Hyderabad (Primary Site) ; 5 Servers at NDC, Pune (Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Site); 35 Lower-end Server for State level MIS at NIC State Data Centres. Network Connectivity (VPNoBB) 5985 sites out of 6914 project sites (BSNL) 18 sites out of 22 project sites at Delhi and Mumbai (MTNL) Capacity Building Basic Computer Training Programme (Phase-I) for 6027 Veterinary Officials upto Block, during February to March, 2011. Basic Computer Training Programme (Phase-II) for 2758 Veterinary Officials upto Block level, during February to March, 2012.
