CABI is an international organization, established in 1910. It was formerly known as the Commonwealth Agricultural Bureaux, which now operates simply as CABI.

1957: Indian Centre of Commonwealth Institute of Biological control (CIBC) set up 1987: The Centre becomes the headquarters of the National Biological Control Programme (now NBAII)
